Play Sit N Goes to Win Money - By: Colin Adams - Poker-A-Z.Com captain cooks poker

Like many of you, I was floundering around the online poker rooms trying to find what I do best. And of course, trying to find how can make the most amount of money playing poker online. Finally, after many failed attempts, I have to say that I have, indeed, found the best way to make money playing online poker. I now play sit and goes to win money playing poker online.

Why sit and goes you ask? Well, after much research I have come to the following conclusions:

? When playing sit and goes, you decide before you play how much money you are willing to lose, you wager it, you buy your chips and you sit down to play. When every chip that you put into the pot does not represent a certain amount of money, you are less likely to be timid with your betting and your play. If there is one thing you must know by now about poker and that is that the timid player and her chips are soon parted.

? Sit and goes offer a good return on money wagered. You usually have a one in seven chance of making the money (assuming that it is the top three who make the money) and these odds are quite good especially when there are usually at least five players at the table that don't have a clue what they are doing. (I am speaking of the lower limit tables here)

? Sit and go players tend to play erratically for the very reason I pointed out in the first point. They have wagered their money, they are okay with losing it, and will play crazy loose for the first half of the tournament, then play crazy tight for the second half of the tournament once they realize that they could make the money if they just tighten up. A good sit and go player will do the opposite and will see a great deal of success using this playing system.

? You can play more than one table at the same time. At the beginning of any sit and go you should be playing as tight as tight can be and therefore you really don't need to pay too much attention to what is going on. I actually find that I play much better when I am running more than one table at the same time. The main reason being that I don't get bored. I have heard of some sit and go pros playing upwards of twenty tables at the same time. The key here is to stagger the starts of your tournaments so as not to end up heads up in more than one table at a time.

Sit and go tournaments are a great way to win money. You know in advance what you stand to lose (and win), you can put together a system that will make you a successful player, it doesn't take long to understand and overtake the novice sit and go player and it is easy and effective to play more than one table at a time.
